Spicy Syrupfruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This huge fruit tree grows up to 60 feet (18.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 59 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in delicate, smooth, black bark, and inside, the light wood is silver.

The abundance of branches are short and thick and are covered with very large amounts of large, long, tapering leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid lime with indigo dots.

In early spring, it produces lots of medium-sized, peach blossoms with long, tapering petals. They fall easily and have a weak scent that smells like fruity.

In late summer it produces small, slender, 3 pointed fruit. The smooth white skin is peel-able and edible when cooked; it is extremely spicy, and the crunchy brown flesh is sweet and syrupy. The orange seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The bark is frequently covered in moss.
Several parts of the creeper have medicinal properties.
