Golden Marsh Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In marshes, and In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very light.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
