Gnarled Climber
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 408 feet (124.4 meters) and growing as high as 75 feet (22.9 meters).
It takes 4 years for the red stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.3 feet (41 cm) and are rough and gnarled.
The spear shaped, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) in length. They are washed-out orange and lime, and have irregular edges.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
