Emerald Vines

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 8 feet (2.4 meters) and growing as high as 26 feet (7.9 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 5 months for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and woody.

The very narrow and elongated, waxy leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are a shade of emerald that gradient shifts to hazel at the top, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several small black flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of tiny berries.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
