Golden Moor Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In heathlands, and In moorlands.
It is big, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly flimsy.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
