Clinging Turquoise Vine

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its green stem is thick and splits into numerous branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the giant, gray-green and copper leaves are pleated with serrated edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with turquoise petals that gradient shift to pastel green on the outer edge. The central disk is turquoise. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. They are sturdy.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like faeces, and it has lots of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
