Goldenleaf Bramble

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 44 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has numerous slender, slanted stems covered in cracked, brown bark, and the wood inside is dark brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of giant, thin, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are generally gold, rigid and waxy.

It produces copious amounts of small, slate flowers with oblong petals. They are hardy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like fermented fruit. In late winter it forms giantbronze, winged seeds that float and land far away.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is suitable for making paper
