Sunburst Cactus

This short cactus grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 5 narrow stems. Each stem is green, and is covered in brittle yellow spines.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are muted red at the sides and bold orange at the center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of raised narrow petals. It has a strong scent that smells like a man.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the peach flesh is slimy, and the bold orange sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
