Clinging Redwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This huge tree grows up to 109 meters (357.6 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, curved trunk covered in paper-thin, cracked, yellow bark, and inside, the hard wood is burgundy-brown.

The sparse amount of branches are short and thick, with thousands of twigs covered with thick bunches of miniature, gray-green needles. The needles themselves are resistant.

In late summer it produces large, green berries.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is often home to a particular bird species.
