Copper Marsh Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In marshes, In bogs, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely frail.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
