Blue Spine Succulent

This huge leaf succulent grows up to 127 feet (38.7 meters) tall. The very thick stem is sky blue, and is covered in sharp spines. The smooth-edged, stiff, pointed leaves are lime at the bottom and yellow with beige patches at the top. Sparse amounts of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are durable, but take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are ashy green on the underside and black on the top grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 9 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like coconut.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the silver flesh is rough, and the faded red sap is thin and can cause blindness if consumed.
