Desert Rosevine

This big flower grows up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) tall. Its silver stem is thin and splits into 7 branching stems at the top, and the huge, brown leaves are dark green or lilac on the underside and are wide with ripped edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Two large flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 32 cm (12.6 inches) wide, with petals that are either peach or caramel, with a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 21 petals. They fall easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like roses, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator and is ignored by most insect species.
