Emerald Mountain Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainy mountain ranges.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is extremely strong.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
