Rockvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 24 feet (7.3 meters) and growing as high as 111 feet (33.8 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 6 months for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and prickly.

The cylindrical, clammy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are solid light brown with pale yellow edges, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces dozens of tiny beige flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of small seed pods.
