Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 119 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous long and flexible, slanted stems covered in paper-thin, waxy, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.
The branches are short, thin and wispy with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of giant, circular, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of lime green that gradient shifts to beige at the top, resilient and fuzzy.
In mid-summer it produces many giant, purple flowers with 4 pointed petals. They fall easily and have no scent.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The leaves are high in natural sugars.
