Spinelthorn
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 64 feet (19.5 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is gray-green, and is covered in handfuls of flexible green spines. The slender leaves are cyan on the edges and gentle green at the center. Very large amounts of them grow on wide, burgundy branches that are short stubs. The leaves are resilient, and take little effort to detach.
It is very slow growing, taking 31 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are generally brilliant red; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 9 petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like cherry.
The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the turquoise flesh is soft, and the crimson sap is thin.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
