Aquamint Shrub

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 174 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several thick, straight stems covered in silky, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, perforated, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are azure on the edges and drab yellow at the center, frail and sticky.

In late spring it produces copious amounts of large, aquamarine flowers with long, narrow petals. They are very delicate and have a mildly strong scent that smells like soap.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
