Twistvine

This massive tree grows up to 149 meters (488.9 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 378 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a knobbly, twisting trunk covered in thick, ridged, dark green bark, and inside, the dense wood is gray.

The abundance of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with very large amounts of soft, small, long, narrow leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either blue or magenta, with turquoise edges.

In early spring, it produces balls of tiny, blood red blossoms with 3 oblong shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like rotting meat.

In late summer it forms large, cream, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
