Ember Moss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In moorlands, In marshes, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very flimsy; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
