Spiral Emerald Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is slightly tough; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
