Bloodstone Fan

This small caudiciform grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is burgundy, and is covered in handfuls of flexible caramel spines. The thick, blood red trunk can grow to as much as 6 feet (1.8 meters) in diameter. Its emerald branches are short stubs.

The smooth-edged, wispy leaves are brown on the sides and peach at the center. They are frail, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid cream petals and a pink central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 16 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has a delicate scent that smells like fruity.

The caudiciform's skin is delicate, the grey flesh is rough, and the lilac sap is thin.
