This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 30 feet (9.1 meters)0. It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 3 years for the silver stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The needle-like, rough leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are a shade of orange that gradient shifts to beige at the top, and have jagged edges.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
