Succulent Sunburst

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is wispy, and the huge, gray-green leaves are stiff, pointed with serrated edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Many medium-sized flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with alternating petals of bold yellow and lilac, with a lilac central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 16 petals. They are sturdy.

It has a strong scent that smells like pine needles, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.
