Bloodberry Pine

This big tree grows up to 69 meters (226.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 185 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, wavy trunk covered in very thick, waxy, brown-green bark, and inside, the very light wood is white.

The numerous branches are very short and thin, covered with large amounts of miniature, pink-red needles. The needles themselves are flimsy.

In late summer it produces small, blood red berries.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
