Purple Puff Grass

This large, green grass grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The pleated stalks grow in small clumps that are resistant and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, purple puff.

During the early winter, it produces very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.
