Thornvine

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short creeper is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 20 feet (6.1 meters) and growing as high as 655 feet (199.6 meters).

It takes 6 months for the pink-red stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and woody.

The stiff, pointed, sticky leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are solid brown or cyan, with gold patches, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces thousands of large cream flowers.


It is suitable for making strong rope
The leaves and petals are often used to make tea.
