Ancient Spruce

This big tree grows up to 72 meters (236.2 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3061 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in rough, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is gray.

The sparse amount of branches are very long and slender, with thousands of twigs covered with large amounts of small, lime green needles. The needles themselves are durable.

In late summer it produces giant, white, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
