Water Oak

This big tree grows up to 84 meters (275.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 176 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a stocky, crooked trunk covered in fine, wrinkled, dark brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is yellow.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of covered in fine hairs, tiny, wide leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in green and turquoise varieties.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, dark brown, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
