Clinging Silverpine

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant tree grows up to 124 meters (406.8 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in knobbly, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale yellow.

The branches are short and slender, with dozens of twigs covered with handfuls of large, silver and grey needles. The needles themselves are delicate.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, hazel berries.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It can grow in even the most barren lands.
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
