Twisting Vine

This giant vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 672 feet (204.8 meters) and growing as high as 136 feet (41.5 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 9 years for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4.7 feet (1.4 meters) and are thick and twisted.

The very narrow and elongated, clammy leaves reach up to 3.6 feet (1.1 meters) in length. They are either crimson, or black with cyan patches, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces lots of average olive flowers.
