Climbing Wavine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 12 feet (3.7 meters) and growing as high as 698 feet (212.8 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 4 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are flat and wavy.

The stiff, pointed, soft leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are aquamarine and green, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of large hazel flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of large fruits.
