Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 76 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, straight trunk covered in smooth, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the hard wood is black.

The extensive patches of branches are very long and thin and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, long, narrow leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either hazel or deep purple, with beige splotches.

In early spring, it produces many large, caramel blossoms with 4 pointed petals. They are hardy and have a strong scent that smells like meat.

In early summer it produces small, fan-like fruit. The fuzzy brown skin is tough and sweet, and the crunchy gold flesh is bitter and oily. The crimson seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
