Rubbervine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This massive vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 3,348 feet (1,020.5 meters) and growing as high as 248 feet (75.6 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.
It takes 49 years for the silver stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 5.0 feet (1.5 meters) and are smooth and rubbery.
The spear shaped, leathery leaves reach up to 2.8 feet (84 cm) in length. They are crimson and dark yellow, and have wavy edges.
During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of giant cream flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces lots of small fruits.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
All parts of the leaf succulent are edible.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
