Aquamango
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This big fruit tree grows up to 33 feet (10.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 42 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, crooked trunk covered in thick, waxy, light brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is yellow.
The small handful of branches are short stubs and are covered with thick bunches of tiny, finger-like leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in olive, lilac and aquamarine varieties.
In early spring, it produces a handful of large, brown blossoms with oblong shaped petals. They are hardy and have a powerful scent that smells like mango.
In mid-summer it produces large, cuboid fruit. The smooth bronze skin is delicate and inedible, and the slightly crunchy pink flesh is sweet and very juicy. The hazel seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
