Spineleaf Caudiciform

This small caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The fan-like stem is green, and is covered in many flexible slate spines. The straight, silver trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter at the bottom. Its brown branches trail down across the ground and start growing a quarter of the way up the stem.

The large amounts of serrated-edged, 2 pointed leaves are olive and orange. They are rigid, but take some effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 44 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid crimson petals decorated with lilac lines and a pink central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. It has an overpowering scent that smells like pot-purri.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the vivid orange flesh is slimy, and the light purple sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
