Indigospire

This short cactus grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 2 spear shaped stems. Each stem is indigo, and is covered in handfuls of rigid gold spines. The cuboid body is silver, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is slow growing, taking 41 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are generally violet; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour, grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is shaped like a heart made up of handfuls of tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like glue.

The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the violet flesh is smooth, and the lilac sap is thin.
