Prismflower

This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its gray stems grow in bunches of 7 and are thin and straight, and the miniature, florescent purple leaves are thick with ripped edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Each stem splits 5 to 11 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with alternating petals of turquoise and florescent purple, with a brown central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 11 raised, narrow petals. They fall easily.

It has a soft scent that smells like a damp log, and it has excessive amounts of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects , but only one species in particular.
