Twistvine

This large shrub grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for around 38 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of very thick, crooked stems covered in hard, rough, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches are long and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, circular, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are azure and bold purple, robust and waxy.

In mid-summer it produces many clusters of giant, brown flowers with wide petals. They are hardy and have a powerful scent that smells like old books.
