Golden Needle Shrub
Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 35 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous thick, straight stems covered in fine, waxy, light brown bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.
The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, 5 pointed, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are grey on the sides and gold at the center, resistant and covered in fine hairs.
In mid-summer it produces several small, magenta flowers with wide petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like onion.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
