Waterleaf
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 35 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has several flexible, twisting stems covered in rough, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is black.
The branches are very long and slender that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, needle-like, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid grey with lime edges, durable and clammy.
In early spring it produces a handful of large, bronze flowers with wide petals. They are sturdy and have no scent.
It comes in 3 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
