Marshmallow Moss

This white or purple moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In marshes, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly durable; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
