Bluevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This huge bine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,457 feet (748.9 meters) and growing as high as 643 feet (196.0 meters).

It takes 18 years for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1.7 feet (51 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The triangular, soft leaves reach up to 2.4 feet (74 cm) in length. They are either red, or azure with dark grey dots, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of colossal bold blue flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of tiny fruits.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
