Vineoak

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 433 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a slender, twisting trunk covered in waxy, burgundy bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown.

The tangled mess of branches are short stubs and are covered with sparse amounts of soft, giant, wispy leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are brown on the sides and peach at the center.

In late summer it forms large, light brown, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It can flourish even in standing water.
