Cottonbloom Cactus

This small cactus grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 finger-like stems. Each stem is pink-red, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid blood red spines.

It is slow growing, taking 19 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with subtle orange petals on the lower layer and turquoise petals decorated with brown dots on the inner layer. The central disk is copper grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. It has a powerful scent that smells like cotton.

The cactus's skin is thin, the brown flesh is leathery, and the blood red sap is thin.
