Coppervine

This small vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 24 feet (7.3 meters) and growing as high as 93 feet (28.3 meters).

It takes 4 months for the copper and moss green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and woody.

The stiff, pointed, clammy leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are violet on the edges and cream at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of large intense orange flowers.
