Twistvine Oak

This large tree grows up to 62 meters (203.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 63 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, twisting trunk covered in hard, ridged, dark gray bark, and inside, the light wood is gray.

The tangled mess of branches are very short and thin and are covered with large amounts of sticky, tiny, 2 pointed leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue on the sides and pink at the center.

In early spring, it produces a handful of small, green blossoms with 2 circular shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a powerful scent that smells like pot-purri.

In late summer it forms giant, caramel seed pods.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
