Delicate Emerald Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is overwhelmingly delicate.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
