Coilgrass
Grass type: Annual (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short, orange grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The oval-shaped stalks grow in extensive patches that are durable and they spread and grow quickly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, slate tuft.
During the early winter, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of large grains.
The sap is edible and overwhelmingly savoury.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
