Vinebloom
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This big shrub grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for around 33 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has several flexible, straight stems covered in thick, cracked, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.
The branches are very short and thick with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of tiny, asymmetrical, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are found in olive and beige varieties, tough and sticky.
In mid-summer it produces large amounts of giant, orange blossoms with 4 heart-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like mango.
In mid-autumn tiny triangular fruits ripen. The fuzzy indigo skin is tough and edible when boiled; it is sweet and savoury, and the slightly crunchy orange flesh is salty and syrupy. The orange seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.
