Serpentine Vine Oak
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized tree grows up to 42 meters (137.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 119 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, silver bark, and inside, the very hard wood is mahogany-coloured.
The branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of smooth, large, finger-like leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are solid gold or bronze, with blue dots.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, beige aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The leaves are bland but very healthy.
